Ghanaian actress Louisa Adinkra has opened up about the painful end of her marriage, revealing that deep down, she always had a feeling it wouldn’t last.

Speaking in an interview with Emelia Brobbey on Adom TV on April 13, 2026, the actress disclosed that she has been single for about seven years now after her marriage collapsed.

“I’m no longer married. I’ve been single for about seven years now,” she said.

She stated that one of the most important lessons she has learned is to be cautious about the people permitted into personal space.

“You need to be scared and cautious about people. The scary part is, the ones you bring closer are the ones who would hurt you the most,” she stated.

Louisa Adinkra disclosed that her marriage fell apart from several angles, but one particular issue stood out strongly.

She recounted how someone very close to her played a significant role in the breakdown of her relationship.

“My marriage ended in so many angles. There was one particular person who was very close to me. She was part of my husband’s family. When I brought her to stay with me, a lot of people were against it. I didn’t know what I saw in her but I liked her so much. She played a major role in my marriage not working,” she shared.

She further noted that her ex-husband had warned her on several occasions to be mindful of the people around her, but she failed to see the danger at the time.

“My ex-husband used to warn me to be careful of my friends, but when I check around, I don’t see any friend who’s that close to me,” she explained.

Looking back, the actress admitted that there were clear signs even before the marriage that things might not end well, but she ignored them because she was in love.

“I had always known my marriage would collapse. During our dating moments, whenever I was going to my ex-husband’s house, people asked me if I could cope. That should have been a signal to me, but I didn’t pay attention, and I was in love,” she noted.

Louisa revealed that she was married for close to nine years, but reflecting on it now, she feels she may have lost valuable time.

“I was married for close to nine years. Looking at my age now and the number of years I was married, I feel I’ve wasted my time,” she added.
