Media personality and the public relations manager of Shatta Movement, Sammy Flex, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding the ban on the commercial use of the Toyota Voxy in Ghana, describing the decision as senseless.

In a video shared on social media, Sammy Flex argued that the vehicle itself cannot cause accidents or lead to fatalities, insisting that such incidents are solely the result of poor driving and bad drivers.

He stated that “bad drivers” are responsible for road crashes, not the type of car being used.

“There’s no sense in that issue because this voxy cannot kill anyone on its own, it can only be controlled by a person, and if the driver is bad, you get a bad outcome," he stated.

He added, "If you really have something important to say, talk to the drivers and leave the cars alone.”

His comments come amid public debate following a directive by the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) banning the use of Toyota Voxy vehicles for commercial transport due to safety and regulatory concerns.

Sammy Flex’s statements add to the growing list of voices challenging the directive, with his position firmly placing responsibility for road accidents on drivers rather than the vehicle itself.
