Fameye is an award-winning Ghanaian Highlife artiste
Ghanaian Highlife artiste Fameye has opened up about the personal experiences that fuel his music and his hardwork.
Speaking on Onua Showtime with Nana Ama McBrown, the ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker was asked about where his inspiration comes from.
McBrown, in her question, noted that he sings about his personal life, to which he responded that the content of his music are based on his life experiences.
"What else can I talk about? I sing about what affects me. I've been through poverty before and I know how it feels,” he said.

According to Fameye, the resilience and hardwork he puts into his craft are due to a promise never to go back to the level of poverty he experienced in his earlier days.
“That is why I am hustling this hard. I don't want to experience poverty again. I don't want to go hungry again," he said.
Since bursting onto the scene, the Eastern Region-born artiste has built a reputation for street-level authenticity, crafting songs that speak directly to the struggles of the everyday person, making him one of the most recognised artistes in the country.
