Close friendships within the Ghanaian music industry have mostly been rare; however, King Promise and Mr Eazi have maintained a best-friend kind of relationship for over a decade.

In an interview on 3FM on April 15, 2026, both musicians were asked what has helped them stay close over the years.

The “Terminator” hitmaker disclosed that there was a period when they did not speak for about two years due to a disagreement.

The two singers, who have known each other for 13 years, shared that their communication has not always been constant.

At times, they speak almost every day of the week, while at other times, they can go weeks without speaking.

King Promise finally reveals the relationship he has with Mr Eazi

“We had days where we went like two years without speaking before because we were angry. We’ve known each other 13 years. Sometimes we speak almost every day of the week. Sometimes we go like weeks without speaking. But, you know, whenever you speak, it’s amazing,” King Promise said.

The 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year winner noted that their relationship reflects the realities of most friendships, with disagreements along the way, but a strong bond that endures.

“We go through what every friendship goes through. We have arguments, we have disagreements. But at the end of the day, we’re still friends. The love is there. Even regardless, he knows or I know that even if we are fighting and he needs to call me, I need to call him. We’re going to get past whatever is happening,” he added.

Mr Eazi and King Promise have released a collaborative album titled “See What We’ve Done” through emPawa Africa.

The project follows the release of several singles, including That Way, Mariana and the album track See What We’ve Done.

The album features production from a range of producers, including GuiltyBeatz, JAE5, KillBeatz and AoD.

The tracklist includes ‘Where Have You Been?’, ‘That Way’, ‘Mariana’, ‘Taste’, ‘Criminal’, ‘Baby I’m Jealous’, ‘No. 1 Fan’, ‘Mad Ting’ and ‘See What We’ve Done’.

Across the project, the artistes explore both their individual and shared creative identities, with songs ranging from stripped-back, introspective material to more upbeat, dance-driven tracks.
