Ex-player Prince Tagoe makes 'serious' allegations against Stonebwoy

Former Black Stars player Prince Tagoe has made a series of allegations against Afro-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session on April 15, 2026, the former Ghana international said he took issue with a line in Stonebwoy’s song Deeper, particularly the lyric “My property no go lock for EOCO.”

According to him, he found the line inappropriate and believed it indirectly mocked Shatta Wale following reports that the latter’s car had been seized by authorities over alleged links to proceeds of crime.

Tagoe explained that, in his view, life is a journey and individuals should refrain from wishing ill on their colleagues, regardless of personal differences.

He said this belief made the lyric feel “below the belt” to him.

He further alleged that during his earlier association with the BHIM Nation camp, he sensed a level of hostility from that side toward Shatta Wale.

According to him, individuals close to Stonebwoy were not allowed to openly enjoy Shatta Wale’s music, as the BHIM Nation boss would “cut you off” if you played Shatta Wale’s songs around him.

“From day one, when it comes to the other side, it has been purely hatred, and I don’t know where it was coming from. If I’m being honest, all those around that brand, when I was close to them, if they were playing Shatta Wale’s song, he sacks them from his side. The songs we are all enjoying are about entertainment,” he alleged.

Tagoe contrasted this with what he described as Shatta Wale’s more relaxed attitude.

He recalled an instance when the SM boss visited his home and reacted differently to hearing music from the rival camp.

“The day Shatta Wale came to my house, I was playing Stonebwoy’s songs, and he was singing along. Why didn’t he also tell me to turn the music off?” he said.
