Gospel musician Joe Mettle has cautioned some bloggers in the country to be more professional in their reportage.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb on TikTok on April 16, 2026, Joe Mettle recounted an experience where a blogger shared a personal conversation he had on social media without his consent.

According to him, some bloggers need to uphold professionalism in their work and respect the boundaries of creatives.

“I feel like some media people also need to rethink how they go about their work. Recently, an issue came up where someone posted something, and it became a big problem.

“So when it comes to covering events and sharing news, once the media starts capturing and posting personal conversations, it’s not cool at all,” he said.

Joe Mettle further noted that event organisers should ensure that proper media accreditation is issued ahead of time to prevent such incidents.

“I think we also need to find ways to ensure that proper tags and identification are given out in advance. Sometimes, people show up claiming to be part of the media, but we don’t know who they are, and some of them can be quite aggressive.

“They don’t understand why boundaries are set or why certain areas are restricted. So what I’m saying is that both sides have a role to play by putting proper identification systems in place well ahead of time,” he added.
