Robert Klah is the PRO for Charterhouse
Charterhouse is yet to secure a venue for this year's Telecel Ghana Music Awards, with less than a month to the ceremony.
Robert Klah, Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse, has revealed that the Grand Arena, which has hosted the awards in previous years, is no longer available.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM with Doreen Avio, Robert Klah noted that the authorities overseeing the land on which the dome sits have asked that the premises be vacated.
"The only thing left now is the venue. Unfortunately, the Grand Arena is not available. What I know is that the owners of the land would like to have their place back, so we don't have access to it and we have to look for another venue," he said.
The 4,500-seater capacity Grand Arena, built and managed by Charterhouse, is located within the grounds of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra, Ghana.
Its unavailability comes amid President John Dramani Mahama's announcement of a major renovation project at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Despite the uncertainty, Klah assured the public that Charterhouse would deliver regardless.
The TGMA 27 is scheduled for May 9, 2026.
