Kwesi Arthur backs Black Sherif for TGMA Artiste of the Year award
As the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) approaches and conversations intensify over who will take home the night’s most coveted prize, Artiste of the Year, rapper Kwesi Arthur has declared his support for Black Sherif.
Speaking on Ghanaian streamer and content creator MadeInGhana’s stream on April 16, 2026, the “Okay Switch” hitmaker said that, based on the year under review, he believes Black Sherif deserves the top honour.
According to Kwesi Arthur, if the “Iron Boy” hitmaker does not take home the award on the night, there would be a riot.
“Looking at the year under review, I think Black Sherif should be Artiste of the Year. If he no win, we go riot,” Kwesi Arthur declared.
The rapper then turned the question back to MadeInGhana, asking who he thought deserved the coveted prize.
MadeInGhana picked Medikal as another artiste who deserves the award, pointing to his impact within the year under review.
