For an artiste whose voice once dominated the airwaves with hits like “Solo” and “Ngege,” Article Wan has disclosed that, for some years, he hasn’t been himself.

In a Facebook post on April 20, 2026, Article Wan indicated that he cannot be mute about how he is feeling, stating that he believes it is deeply spiritual and out of his control.

The musician then asked loved ones and the general public to pray for him and ask God to protect him.

“I have not been myself for some years now, to be honest. It’s deeply spiritual and I can’t be mute at this moment, ’cause it’s way out of my control. Abeg, pray for me. God help and protect me,” he wrote.

Bright Homenya, popularly known in showbiz circles as Article Wan, was born on May 22 to Gabriel Amuzu, a carpenter, and Noviti Agbetru, a trader.

He burst onto the Ghanaian showbiz scene and gained popularity with his hit single “Solo” (HmmNyeNye), released in February 2016.

The song broke international barriers, making waves in Jamaica, Nigeria, London, Germany, and other parts of the diaspora. It also featured on many of the top charts within the Ghanaian music industry.

Article Wan, who is also a sound engineer, learned sound production by studying other producers and practising with his elder brother’s mobile recording gadgets in his room.

He later had the opportunity to further develop his craft at Mingle Recording Studios in Abossey Okai, where he recorded several other musicians.
