“I have my idols. Wizkid is my idol, Burna Boy is my idol, Drake is my idol, The Weeknd is my idol, Bruno Mars is my idol, and Harry Styles is my idol. I’m a creative, I’m crazy. My head is not correct. I need to create art to feel good, and these are people I look up to,” he said.
The clip has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions across social media.
While some fans have praised his selection as a reflection of his artistic direction, others have criticized him for leaving out Davido, especially given their rapport and their recently Grammy‑nominated single, “With You.”
The omission has since fueled debate among fans, with some describing the move as intentional, while others argue that personal inspiration does not necessarily have to include every collaborator.
