Shatta Wale says most Stonebwoy fans are Samini, disappointed SM supporters
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has made strong claims about his colleague Stonebwoy’s fanbase, arguing that the BHIM Nation president does not have a loyal fanbase but rather disappointed followers of Shatta Movement and Samini.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Shatta Wale said that if Stonebwoy truly had loyal fans, it should be reflected in his streaming numbers. He insisted that although the artiste is working hard, he lacks a dedicated fanbase to properly push his music.
“I know most of them are, like, Samini fans and disappointed SM fans because if they love Stonebwoy, like how they say, you should be seeing it on their platforms, his streams should be going up, his algorithm should be crazy.
“Because the artiste himself in question is trying so hard for himself, but he doesn’t have loyal fans to promote his stuff, and that is where the problem is,” Shatta said.

Shatta Wale further claimed that even some BHIM Nation supporters contribute more to boosting his own streaming numbers than they do for Stonebwoy. He urged them to be more intentional in supporting their own artiste.
“You should know that BHIM fans are part of the people that make my stream grow more than their artiste, so they should sit up and support their artiste because their artiste is trying, because the way he sits in plane, it’s not my talent,” he added.
Beyond fanbase comparisons, Shatta Wale also touched on the importance of international exposure in an artiste’s growth.
He argued that performances on global stages should translate into significant fan growth and streaming gains.
“For you to appear on a particular continent and not raise at least 200,000 fans, then it means you didn’t enter well,” he said.
He added that in today’s music industry, online presence plays a major role in determining success, stressing that streaming numbers are heavily influenced by digital engagement.
“Sometimes, when I hear the arguments about who has more streams than who, I tell people, to gain those streams, you need to work more online because that’s where the world has gotten to right now,” he concluded.
