Speaking in a resurfaced interview, he disclosed that his father was initially a military pilot before later working with business mogul Wale Adenuga after retirement.

According to Mr Eazi, his father eventually became a pilot for Obasanjo and worked closely with the former president throughout his eight-year tenure in office.

“My dad was a pilot in the military, and when he retired, he started to fly for Adenuga, who is one of the richest men in Nigeria. After Adenuga, when Obasanjo became president, my dad was flying Obasanjo for like eight years while he was president,” he recounted.

The singer also shared fond memories from his childhood visits to Obasanjo’s farm with his father.

He humorously recalled how the former president often gifted him large fish whenever he was returning to school, although he would still ask him for money.

“Whenever my dad took me to Obasanjo’s farm, I remember he’d give me big fish or chicken when am going to school, and I’d still ask him for money instead, I'm like, come on man, I want money,” he said while laughing.

Mr Eazi further explained that constantly watching his father travel inspired his own ambitions growing up.

He noted that his father’s aviation career motivated him to pursue a lifestyle and career that would also allow him the freedom to fly freely.

This development has since resurfaced online, with many fans reacting to the singer’s interesting childhood experiences and close encounters with one of Nigeria’s most influential former leaders.
