Stonebwoy did not cause the arrest of any social media user! – Vida Adutwumwaa

Stonebwoy's Public Relations representative Vida Adutwumwaa has dismissed speculation that the dancehall star caused the arrest of a social media user identified as Webkid over comments made against him.

This comes after unconfirmed reports that Webkid, who is an online fan of rival dancehall star Shatta Wale, had been arrested after a defamatory post concerning Stonebwoy's marriage.

Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix on the red carpet of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards on May 9, 2026, Adutwumwaa said the authorities acted on their own accord and that it was wrong to link Stonebwoy to the matter.

"It is not in Stonebwoy's power to cause the arrest of anybody. All we saw was that there was a court order and the guy was picked up," she said.

Adutwumwaa pointed to Webkid's social media activity as the likely cause for his arrest, noting that the individual had been publicly disrespecting several prominent personalities, including the Asantehene.

"We later saw that the person has been insulting various important personalities like the Asantehene and others on his social media handles. So if someone like that has been arrested, people should not instantly assume that it is Stonebwoy," she said.

Vida Adutwumwaa urged the public to look beyond Stonebwoy when searching for who may have reported the social media user to the authorities, noting that Webkid had offended numerous people online.

"If they are looking for whoever reported the person to the police, go through his posts on social media and you can find the dozens of people he had been disrespecting. Don't put Stonebwoy in an arrest case, please," she stated.

She added that the artiste's focus remains solely on his music.
