Herty Borngreat is a Ghanaian gospel musician
Renowned Ghanaian gospel singer, Herty Borngreat, has opened up about why she stepped away from the music industry after delivering several hit songs over the years.
Speaking on Onua Showtime on June 7, 2026, the gospel musician revealed that she took a break from music to focus on raising her children.
She explained that balancing motherhood and her music career became overwhelming, forcing her to make a difficult decision and prioritise family.
When asked how many children she has, the celebrated singer surprised both the host and the audience.

According to her, she has nine biological children, seven girls and two boys.
“I have been around. I took a break to give birth and raise my children. I have nine kids. But I am done giving birth. They are all my biological children, and I gave birth to all of them naturally,” she said.
Herty Borngreat, however, announced that she is making a return to the music scene.
“By the grace of God, it has been good, and thanks to my husband, Bishop Borngreat, for his support,” she added.
