Ghanaian actress and social media personality Akuapem Poloo has revealed that a former boyfriend once offered to pay for her to undergo buttocks enhancement surgery, but she ultimately refused it.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Atuu on June 7, 2026, Akuapem Poloo disclosed that she seriously considered the idea before changing her mind after careful reflection.

“I was once dating a man who told me to go and do buttocks enhancement surgery and he would pay for it. I nearly did it, but I thought about it thoroughly and decided not to do it,” she said.

According to the actress, she often noticed that the man was attracted to women who had undergone cosmetic procedures, as they dominated the list of women he followed on social media.

“Sometimes, you get frustrated, especially when you realise he only follows women who have undergone surgery on his social media platforms. We ladies normally do check the kind of women our men follow,” she stated.

Akuapem Poloo noted that women in relationships often pay close attention to their partners' habits and preferences, even when the men believe otherwise.

“When I’m in love with you, there are some things I would find out about you and you would think I don’t know,” she shared.

She further argued that some men indirectly pressure their partners into enhancing their bodies but later deny having influenced that decision.

“Some men frustrate their partners to enhance their body, but they would tend to deny the fact that they made you do it. They surround themselves with women who have enhanced their bodies, but they don’t end up marrying such women,” she claimed.

The actress also expressed the opinion that many men ultimately prefer women with natural bodies despite admiring surgically enhanced figures.

“Most women who have done their body can’t keep men in their lives. That’s because men want their women to have a natural body. They don’t also respect because they think they have perfect body,” she added.
