'We should calm down and create another animal song' – Kuami Eugene to DopeNation

Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has called for peace between him and popular music group DopeNation.

According to the 'Rockstar', he harbours no ill feelings towards them despite their long-running differences.

Speaking in an interview with Headless YouTuber on June 14, 2026, the singer jokingly apologised over what he described as a dispute over "little money," while urging all parties involved to move on from the issue.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that the little money we’re supposed to share would trigger you like that. You both should calm down. I don’t hate them in any way,” he said.

The former Lynx Entertainment artiste, however, clarified that he was not necessarily offering an apology but rather encouraging reconciliation.

“I don’t even know why I’m rendering an apology over boys' issues, so I’m not even apologizing. I’m just saying that we should calm down and do another animal song,” he stated, referencing one of their past collaborations.

Kuami Eugene noted that he has no bad blood with DopeNation, although he acknowledged that there may have been issues in the past that left the duo feeling hurt.

“I don’t have bad blood with anyone, but maybe there’s a soft spot that probably triggered and hurt them to date,” he shared.

The award-winning singer further expressed his desire to see DopeNation succeed, insisting that their achievements would never make him jealous.

“If I wake up and DopeNation are the biggest artistes in the world, I would actually thank God for them. I would never be pained; I would rather be happy for them. At the end of the day, everyone is winning,” he noted.

Kuami Eugene also showered praise on DopeNation's latest hit song, "Kakalika," expressing hope that it achieves even greater success both locally and internationally.

“Right now, if Kakalika reach where it’s supposed to reach and they’re busily touring the world, that’s what I wish for them. Next year, it should win the Most Popular Song of the Year, and I would be happy about it. The players should score more goals and dance with Kakalika. Forget every song we do; Ghana should just be jamming with Kakalika,” he added.
