Keche always return to say ‘thank you’ unlike some artistes – Kaywa

Renowned Ghanaian music producer and Highly Spiritual Music boss, Kaywa, has praised music duo, Keche for consistently showing appreciation and respect to those who have contributed to their journey in the music industry.

Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV on June 14, 2026, Kaywa highlighted the importance of gratitude and honour, lamenting what he described as a growing lack of appreciation among some young artistes and industry players.

According to him, one of the reasons he has a strong relationship with Keche is their willingness to acknowledge and appreciate the support they have received over the years.

"I’m one person who always stands for coming back to say things. Keche will always come back and say thank you, irrespective of where they find themselves. Even when they were not doing as well as they are now, they always came back to say thank you for putting us on and for what we did for them," he said.

The award-winning producer noted that honouring people who contribute to one's success is a trait many individuals in the current generation seem to be lacking.

"I love honour and one of the reasons why I love Keche is because they know how to honour and value what is given to them. I think this generation doesn't honour. You put people on, support them, but honouring them becomes a big issue," he stated.

Kaywa further revealed that he has experienced several instances where people he helped failed to show appreciation for the support and opportunities they received.

“I’ve had a lot of experiences when it comes to people not honoring you, what you’ve put in them, the support we gave,” he shared.

Reflecting on his contributions to the music industry, he disclosed that many successful music producers in Ghana passed through his mentorship at some point in their careers.

“When it comes to the music producers that I’ve put out, I’ve put over 19 top producers out there. All the producers who are doing well passed through me,” he said.

He urged young artistes and creatives to cultivate the habit of expressing gratitude, stressing that acknowledging those who support one's growth can contribute to long-term success.

“Some of the young ones should learn and emulate this. There’s nothing wrong with saying thank you or appreciating someone who has helped you and that will bring your longevity to where you are,” he added.
