Captain Planet (L) says Prophet Uche (R) should be ashamed of his failed football prophecy
Ghanaian musician and member of the defunct 4X4 music group, Captain Planet, has taken a swipe at Prophet Eric Boahen Uche following the latter's failed prophecy about the Black Stars’ performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Earlier in May 2026, Prophet Eric Uche predicted that the Black Stars would lose all their group-stage matches.
According to the prophet, the current Black Stars squad is spiritually weak, and therefore, the football association and players needed to seek prayers and divine intervention from him.
'I am an Arsenal fan but PSG will win' - Prophet Uche’s prophecy on the Champions League
“Ghana should come and see me. They will lose all three group-stage matches in the competition. I’m not joking. With humility, they should come for consultation so I can help.
“It’s the spirit that we use to play football. In the spiritual world, the team is weak. When the matches are about to be played, I will come and tell the scoreline. When I said they would lose the friendlies, they lost them, right?” he said.
Reacting to the failed prophecy, Captain Planet criticised Prophet Uche for repeatedly making football predictions that do not come to pass.

“You should be ashamed of yourself. Hands for touch am,” he posted on X.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars delivered an impressive performance in their opening game of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 17, 2026.
The team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Panama.
