‘Return your wife to her family if you no longer love her’ – Ogyaba tells Bishop Obinim

Founder of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, Prophet Ogyaba, has cautioned Bishop Daniel Obinim that if he no longer wishes to continue his marriage, he should return his wife, Florence, to her family.

He added that this would be better than subjecting her to emotional distress.

“If you go for a woman’s hand in marriage and later feel you no longer love her, it is better to return her to her family. Do not humiliate her in public or stand behind a pulpit spreading falsehoods about her.

"Emotional distress can be deeply damaging, and when she is left alone in pain, it can even become life-threatening. That helps no one,” Ogyaba said.

He further stated that Bishop Obinim should fairly divide the properties they acquired together and ensure that Florence receives the rightful share that allows her to separate and move on independently if necessary.

Ogyaba added that both individuals, if separated, could find new partners who align better with their expectations, rather than remaining in a strained relationship that might lead to suicidal thoughts.

His comments come weeks after Bishop Daniel Obinim reportedly stated in church that when he dies, his funeral arrangements should be handled by the church and not his wife.

About a week later, he made additional remarks in church that his wife, Florence Obinim, had begun associating with bad friends and disobeying his instructions.

Following these developments, he reportedly asked his church members to allow him to ‘stay back’ from the marriage, even though he maintained that divorce was not an option.
