Ghanaian musician Keche Joshua has expressed disappointment with the performance of the Black Stars despite the team's 1:0 victory against Panama.

In a video shared on social media on June 18, 2026, the musician stated that although many Ghanaians have since been celebrating, he is far from impressed by the team's overall display.

According to him, the Black Stars struggled throughout the game and would have suffered a heavy defeat if they faced a stronger opponent.

“Truthfully speaking, I’m not happy. I’ve seen people jubilating, but the game the guys played yesterday isn’t worth jubilating. If we take this kind of game to face England, they will score ten thousand against us. If God didn’t intervene, with this kind of play, England would score us uncountably,” he said.

Keche Joshua revealed that he was so anxious during the match that he could barely eat, adding that his heart raced throughout the encounter.

He, however, commended the coach for making tactical substitutions that helped turn the game around.

“I’m not happy at all. My heart was racing yesterday and I couldn’t even eat at all. If not for the changes the coach did, we would have been embarrassed,” he shared.

The musician further urged the Black Stars to improve their performances if they hope to secure qualification and compete effectively against stronger teams.

Black Stars should wake up because we need to qualify. I’m not happy with the match you played yesterday. God touched Yirenkyi to score for us; if not, we would have been disgraced by now,” he noted.

Keche Joshua stressed that Ghana's late goal against Panama should serve as a wake-up call rather than a reason for excessive celebration.

“We were only able to score a goal during the last minute with a team like Panama,” he added.
