Award-winning Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Joseph Van Vicker has added another remarkable achievement to his name after graduating with a First Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana.

Sharing the news on his Instagram page on June 19, 2026, Van Vicker looked back on the significance of earning First Class Honours, stressing that academic success alone does not guarantee professional excellence in the legal field.

“First Class Honours in LLB doesn’t automatically make me a better lawyer but what it does mean is: Academic Excellence, Strong Discipline & Work Ethic, Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills, Prestige & Recognition, Opportunities. Success in the profession depends on advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, and practical courtroom or advisory experience.

"Character & Integrity and Continuous Learning. First Class Honours is proof of academic mastery, not professional mastery. It’s a strong foundation, but becoming a great lawyer requires practice, mentorship, and character,” he wrote.

Van Vicker has become a household name across Ghana, Nigeria and the wider African continent. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has starred in, directed and produced numerous films through his production company, Sky + Orange Productions.

His journey from radio and television presenter to one of the most recognisable faces in Ghallywood and Nollywood has been defined by versatility, charisma, and a passion for storytelling that continues to resonate with audiences.

Van Vicker’s academic journey began in early 2023 when he enrolled in the LLB programme at Wisconsin International University College.

In January 2026, he announced the successful completion of his studies, expressing gratitude for reaching the milestone.

“Bachelor of Laws (LLB – Legum Baccalaureus) program is complete. Awaiting graduation. God has been good to me. I am grateful,” he posted.
