Shatta Wale storms Accra High Court to support Webkid

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has once again shown support for a fan identified as Webkid following the latter’s recent arrest.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb on Instagram on June 22, 2026, Shatta Wale was seen at the Accra High Court alongside his PR manager, Sammy Flex, and members of his team.

Meanwhile, some fans of the dancehall artiste, including supporters of Webkid who had gathered at the court premises, were reportedly forcefully removed by officers of the Ghana Police Service.

According to reports, the individuals were removed from the premises for allegedly causing a disturbance on the court grounds.

Background

Webkid was arrested by the Ghana Police Service on May 7, 2026, over allegations of cyberbullying following a complaint linked to derogatory remarks he allegedly made about Stonebwoy’s wife and family on social media.

Webkid was first remanded on May 11 and later again on May 26 after prosecutors reportedly filed fresh charges, increasing the total count from four to six as investigations continued.
