M.anifest is a Ghanaian rapper
Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has shared his views on faith, religion, and how he believes people can navigate the relationship between the two.
In an interview on TV3, shared on X on June 24, 2026, M.anifest stated that he strongly believes in a higher power.
According to the acclaimed rapper, although he is not a religious person, he appreciates the role faith has played in his life and career.

“I’m a believer. I believe in the Most High. What we do as creatives, especially as musicians, I don’t know how you can do it without having faith in a higher power, because it’s not all calculation. You don’t always know how these things happen.
“Years ago, when I was a teenager, you could not have told me that in one year I would make more than 200 songs. Where is that coming from? It’s coming from a unique source. There’s something divine about it,” he said.
The rapper further noted that he attends church occasionally and believes that worship and spirituality are not confined to a church building.
According to M.anifest, faith can also be practised at home, and religion can have both positive and negative effects depending on how it is used.

“I’m not a very religious person, so I go to church when it’s my mother’s birthday and on a few other occasions. Not particularly. The church is also at home.
“I’ll put it this way: religion can both help and hinder. It’s not religion itself that is problematic, but how it is used. Human beings are mysterious, and we can be corrupt. We’ve even found ways to corrupt faith,” he added.
