The elder sister of late Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Ernestina Fosu, has made an emotional appeal to authorities and all persons involved to help her locate her brother's body, stating she has not seen him since news of his death.

Speaking to the media on June 25, 2026, she expressed deep pain over the situation, adding that she has been denied the opportunity to bid farewell to her own brother.

“This is difficult to accept because I can’t set my eyes on my brother anymore. He’s dead, but I don’t know where he’s being laid. I’ve not seen him since his demise,” she said.

She also condemned individuals who have taken to social media to insult the family over the circumstances surrounding the late musician's remains.

“Anyone who is taking advantage of this and insulting the family, bear in mind that if you’re a mother and your son went through what exactly happened to Charles, will you be happy?” she questioned.

According to her, although nearly a year has passed since Daddy Lumba's death, she is still pleading with people in authority to intervene so she can finally see her brother one last time.

“I don’t have much to say, but all I can say is it’s been almost a year, so I’m pleading to those who have authority and voice in this country to find where my brother’s body is so that I can see him and talk to him. Sadly, my own blood is dead, and I don’t know where he is,” she shared.

She noted that she is no longer concerned about critics but is focused solely on finding closure.

“I’m too old to think about those insulting us because of this situation, I just want to see my brother and nothing more,” she stated.

Reflecting on Daddy Lumba's life, she shared that many admirers surrounded the musician while he was alive, but believes many of them have disappeared following his passing.

“I remember when Daddy Lumba was alive, he used to have many lovers. After his demise, where are the lovers? You’ve all left everything for me to handle. I’ve left everything to God,” she added.
