Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwaku Manu has used his social media platform to raise a string of concerns around Ghana's participation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He first called on the GFA to compensate musician Kofi Kinaata for producing a Black Stars anthem that has been a pivotal tool in lifting the morale of fans during this World Cup season.

He also urged foreign embassies to be more lenient with Ghanaian supporters seeking visas.

In a video that has been widely shared online, the actor addressed the GFA, making a direct plea on behalf of Kofi Kinaata.

"If Kofi Kinaata used his own funds to go to the World Cup, please reimburse him and give him some compensation. The song he did for the Black Stars has taken Ghana by storm. It is everywhere. That song even made the World Cup interesting for Ghanaians. It's too good. God bless you for that," he said.

Kwaku Manu then spoke on the visa struggles of Ghanaian football supporters, and made an appeal to embassies, particularly those of Canada and the United States, to be more lenient to Ghanaian applicants.

"See how supporters from England filled the stadium, they should also be lenient with Ghanaians. Lots of us were not granted visas to attend. If like 200 people applied, only like five would be granted. It's not fair. Not everyone who goes there wants to run away. There are people with good documents who just want to watch and come back home," he added.

Speaking further in a lighthearted moment, Kwaku Manu touched on actor Yaw Dabo's viral moment at the tournament, noting that the diminutive Kumawood star was shown twice on the official World Cup broadcast during the Ghana-England clash, with many viewers stunned to learn he is 35 years old.

"Yaw Dabo trended. He was shown on the official World Cup broadcast twice. People thought he was a child. He is 35 years old. It's not common to be shown twice on such a broadcast. God has blessed him," he said.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars are expected to tackle Croatia on June 27 for their final match of the group stages.
