'Evil spirits cast out by pastors cause their marital problems' - Kumchacha

Founder of Heaven's Gate Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, has offered a spiritual explanation for the wave of marital crises rocking the homes of Ghanaian pastors.

He has stated that the evil spirits they usually cast out of their congregants are the root cause.

Speaking in an interview on Aluta FM in Accra, the outspoken preacher made the remarks in reference to the ongoing marital dispute between Bishop Daniel Obinim and his wife, gospel musician Florence Obinim.

According to Kumchacha, the evil spirits which are regularly expelled from members of their congregations end up causing problems in their marriage.

"Everyday, they do 'break and go,' 'break and go,' when the spirits break out, they roam around looking for where to go and they end up going into the pastors themselves or even the wives of these pastors," he said.

He argued that this spiritual cycle has left many pastoral marriages in turmoil, with wives feeling unloved and neglected while their husbands bear the brunt of spiritual attacks.

"Most marriages between pastors and their wives are going through a lot. The pastors' wives are not getting the love and attention from their husbands.

"The same way most of these pastors are constantly getting nagged and disturbed by their wives to an extent they end up suffering from ailments like high blood pressure and stroke," he said.
