An ex threatened my life and threatened to kill himself after we parted ways - Cardi B

Award-winning rapper Cardi B recently took to social media to reveal that an ex-partner threatened her life and also threatened to kill himself after she parted ways with him.

“You see what happens when a b*tch really leaves,” Cardi, 33, told her fans on X Spaces, Complex reported. “We all saw how he almost wanted to kill himself when I left. I didn’t even wanna bring that situation up, because I don’t even want to like fake act, like, I’m trying to come at a n***a or something.”

The Am I the Drama? rapper touched on people usually talking about her relationships, saying that she realized her exes who cheated on her fail to remain with the women they had affairs with.

“Why they not with them? Why they don’t be with them when I leave?” the 33-year-old questioned. “They getting brand new b*tches. Why did they be crashing out over me? Since it’s only because of my name. Since it’s only because of my name, since it’s only because I’m Cardi B. Then it’s like why y’all damn near want to f*cking kill yourself, and y’all seeing it in real time, everybody seeing it in real time.”

Though she did not mention the ex in question, Cardi, in a March 2025 conversation on X Spaces, accused Offset of threatening her and leaking a video of them having sex after she sent Melanie Jayda (Offset’s rumored girlfriend) messages she had received from her estranged husband, E! News reported.

“This guy upset because I sent his girlfriend messages of him begging me—begging me saying he’s gonna take away his life, begging me saying he’s gonna take away my life,” Cardi claimed at the time. “All that s–t, he was mad.”

She added: “This man sent text messages to somebody that I was dealing with of me and him having sex. That’s the type of s–t I’ve been dealing with.”
