Obinim insists he has remained faithful since 2017 amid fresh allegations
The Founder and Leader of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has addressed recent allegations surrounding his personal life, insisting that he has remained faithful to his marriage since 2017.
Speaking to his congregation on June 30, 2026, the preacher, who has been at the centre of public attention in recent weeks over his marital dispute with his wife, gospel singer Florence Obinim, admitted that although he had several girlfriends during his more than two decades of marriage, he has not engaged in any extramarital affairs for nearly a decade.
According to Bishop Obinim, although he has openly admitted in the past that he once had multiple girlfriends, that chapter of his life ended in 2017.
He maintained that no woman in Ghana, or anywhere else in the world, can truthfully claim to have had a sexual relationship with him from 2017 to date.

“I have said that even if I had affairs and multiple girlfriends, all of that ended in 2017. There is no woman in Ghana, or anywhere else in the world, who can come forward and say that from 2017 to now, 2026, I have had a sexual encounter with her,” Obinim said.
The preacher also addressed persistent rumours that he has children outside his marriage, firmly denying the claims.
Bishop Obinim said he has only four children, comprising two sons and two daughters. He identified them as Dr Grace, Gifted Obinim, Promise Obinim, and Angel Obinim, stressing that these are his only children.
He insisted that any claims suggesting he has fathered another child elsewhere are false and urged the public to disregard such reports.
“I have only four children. I don’t have a child anywhere else. So if you hear someone saying that Obinim has a child somewhere, let the person keep talking. When they get tired, they will stop,” he said.
Touching on the recent marital controversy that dominated social media, Bishop Obinim revealed that he has decided to put the matter behind him after what he described as divine instruction.
The founder of the International God's Way Church, who in recent weeks made several videos criticising his estranged wife, Florence Obinim, said the Holy Spirit had instructed him to end the public exchanges.
According to him, he has since deleted every video he recorded about the dispute and has resolved never to speak publicly about his marriage again, signalling what he hopes will be the end of the controversy.
