Ghanaian social commentator Appiah Stadium has responded to allegations made by a TikToker who claimed he embarrassed and abandoned her at a restaurant after she declined an invitation to accompany him to his room at The Gallery Apartments.
In a video shared on his TikTok page, Appiah Stadium dismissed the allegations and announced that he has instructed his legal team to pursue the matter in court.
“A lady has posted a video about me, a lot of people have told me not to pay mind to it, but I have already handed her over to my lawyers. I’m suing her, and she’s going to put her camera down,” he said
According to Appiah Stadium, while it is true that he asked someone to obtain the woman’s phone number through TikTok, his intentions were purely to support a young content creator he believed had potential.

He explained that the person who contacted the woman on his behalf is someone he considers like a son and frequently entrusts with such errands.
Appiah Stadium stated that reaching out to promising young people is something he has done on several occasions, noting that he has previously supported bloggers, content creators, and other talented individuals whenever he believes he can contribute to their growth.
“I have directed my son Bawah to go into the DMs of more than 40 people, both males and females. There are more males than females. When I see a content creator whose style is not political, I want to help them,” he said
He further explained that he invited the woman to meet him because he was scheduled to travel to the United States the following day to watch Ghana’s football match and wanted to see her before his departure.
Addressing the woman’s claim that she recorded him during their meeting, Appiah Stadium alleged that she began filming him while he was descending from the ninth floor of the apartment building where he was staying.
According to him, although he noticed the recording, he did not object because he is a public figure and is accustomed to people taking photos and videos of him.
However, he now believes the recording was part of a premeditated plan to damage his reputation.
“I was on the ninth floor, she was videoing me all the while I was coming down the stairs. If she didn’t have any ulterior motive, why did she do that? If I wanted to have anything to do with her, I would have told the front desk to direct her to my room. But I went down to meet her because that was not my intention,” he insisted
Responding to claims that he was seen receiving an envelope containing money, Appiah Stadium explained that the envelope contained cash that had been converted into US dollars ahead of his trip to America.
He said the money belonged to him and had been exchanged specifically for his travels.
“While we were sitting there, someone brought me a gift of a thousand dollars, and she said all of that in her video. So what was your motive towards someone that you don’t know and have never met, and you were videoing me the whole time,” he said
He also addressed the woman’s claim that he showed her his mobile phone displaying his account balance.
According to Appiah Stadium, he asked her to verify the amount on the screen because he wanted to confirm he still had enough money in his cedi account after converting a substantial amount into dollars.
He said he intended to use the remaining funds to pay for the meal and also provide the woman with transportation back home.

“I was traveling, so I had converted all my money into dollars. I recalled I had some money in my momo, but I wasn’t sure what the amount was, so I asked her to confirm for me so I could pay for her meal. She didn’t even inform me before ordering that food… whether or not I could afford it, she didn’t care," he added.
Appiah Stadium maintained that the woman’s version of events is untrue and accused her of deliberately attempting to tarnish his image.
He questioned why she recorded him from the beginning of their meeting if she had no ulterior motive.
He also revealed that he has seen a written apology reportedly issued by the woman, but insists it is insufficient.
According to him, since the allegations were made publicly in a video, any apology should be delivered in the same manner.
“Anyone who knows her should let her know that I am suing her heavily. I have also seen that she has made an apology post, but she put in her camera the talk about something untrue; she must come out the same way to render a verbal apology,” he insisted
Appiah Stadium reiterated that he intends to allow the court to determine the matter, insisting that the allegations made against him have damaged his reputation and must be addressed through legal means.
