'A prophet of God doesn't fool around' - Prophet Oduro subtly fires Bishop Obinim

Founder of the Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Dr Kofi Oduro, has subtly criticised his colleague Daniel Obinim over the decision to repeatedly discuss his marital issues before his congregation.

Speaking to his congregants on July 5, 2026, Prophet Oduro questioned why a man of God would stand behind the pulpit to publicly address issues involving his wife, stressing that ministers are expected to uphold the dignity and integrity of the position they occupy.

According to the leader of the Alabaster International Ministry, pastors are expected to lead with maturity, impartiality, and responsibility rather than allowing personal family matters to become the focus of their sermons.

“How can a man of God come to the pulpit and bring his wife matter? You’re a very stupid person because we expect you to hold responsibility, my brother. We expect you to be like a father who doesn’t take sides. We expect you to uphold the integrity of the pulpit. That is what we expect you to do. Anybody who stands in the capacity of a prophet of God doesn’t fool around,” Prophet Oduro said.

Although Prophet Oduro did not mention any names, his comments come after weeks of public statements by Bishop Daniel Obinim about his marriage to gospel singer Florence Obinim.

Over the past few weeks, Bishop Obinim has repeatedly addressed his marital issues during church services, alleging that his wife had been disrespectful and was associating with friends he did not approve of.

Obinim told his congregation that, should he die, his funeral arrangements should be handled by the church rather than his wife.

However, on June 30, 2026, Bishop Obinim announced that he had decided to put the matter behind him after what he described as divine instruction.

The founder of the International God's Way Church, who had shared several videos criticising his estranged wife, Florence Obinim, said the Holy Spirit had instructed him to end the public exchanges and move on from the issue.
