Here's what Prophet Kumchacha said about President Mahama's government

Founder and leader of Heaven's Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, has heaped praise on President John Dramani Mahama's administration, describing it as an improvement on the previous government.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM on Monday, July 6, 2026, the outspoken clergyman credited the Mahama-led government with significant improvements in the country's economic conditions.

"This government has tried its best. Mahama has worked hard. Mahama's current government is far better than the Old Testament government," he said.

He pointed to falling inflation and fuel prices as clear evidence of the administration's performance.

"Right now the inflation rate is down, fuel prices are down, and the value of things has changed for the better," he said.

'I'm focused on development, not applause' - A-Plus

Prophet Kumchacha also praised the government's decision to run a leaner ministerial team than its predecessor.

"The previous government used over 100 ministers. Mahama's government uses about 60 ministers. So things have changed," he said.

When asked if he was being partisan, Kumchacha insisted that he was simply speaking the truth about improvements in market prices, regardless of public perception.

"If nobody wants to speak the truth, that prices of things in the market have reduced, I will say it.

"If you compare this government with the previous government, this government is far better than the previous one," he said.
