Kumchacha is the leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries
Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, also known as Kumchacha has reiterated his long-held criticism of 'inadequate offerings' given by some church members, arguing that people who often give GH¢1 or GH¢2 despite enjoying the church’s facilities are wicked people.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on July 6, 2026, Kumchacha was asked about comments he had made in the past expressing dissatisfaction with the amount of money some congregants put into the offering bowl.
The host questioned whether he believes people give according to their financial ability.
Responding to the question, the outspoken preacher maintained that while individuals may have different financial capacities, church members should also consider the cost of maintaining the church and the facilities they benefit from before deciding on the amount they offer.

According to him, churches spend money on amenities such as air conditioning and the upkeep of their premises, and members should reflect on those expenses when giving their offerings.
“Sometimes people should be considerate. When I say considerate, I mean that when you attend a church with air conditioning, see how tidy the church environment is kept, and then, after the service, it’s time to give an offering, and you give GH¢1 or GH¢2, then you are a wicked person,” Kumchacha noted.
During the same interview, the Heaven’s Gate Ministries leader also spoke about his political preference, disclosing that he voted for John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general election and has no regrets about his decision.
Kumchacha said his admiration for President Mahama extends beyond politics, describing him as a humble, respectful, and approachable leader whose personality he greatly appreciates.
“During the last part of his [Mahama] campaign, he met with some members of the clergy. I was among about 70 pastors he met. I am the president of that clergy association. I voted for the NDC. I like everything about John Mahama. I like the way he walks, his humility, the way he talks, everything about him is nice,” he reiterated.
