Why Davido spends $200,000 monthly, excluding family expenses

Award-winning Nigerian singer Davido has revealed that where he lives at a particular time plays a major role in how much he spends every month.

Speaking during a livestream with content creator Davrel, the Afrobeats star said he lives a relatively modest lifestyle in the United States, where he spends most of his time with his wife and children.

“For my spending, it depends on my location. I spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife, my kids,” he said.

According to the singer, his expenses rise significantly whenever he is outside the US due to his busy schedule and lifestyle.

“When I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, 500, 200, 300K, minus buying jewelry, buying a car… Minus my wife and my household,” Davido stated.

His comments, however, suggest that his personal monthly expenditure can exceed $200,000 (approximately ₦300 million), excluding what he spends on his family, luxury items such as cars and jewelry, and other household expenses.

Davido’s revelation has since generated conversations online, with many social media users reacting to the financial demands that come with his celebrity lifestyle and global career.
