It's no longer Mahama and NDC that collapsed the industry.
You see, 3 things collapsed Kumawood.
1. Arrogance and pride, everybody in the industry became arrogant and full of pride, you begin to fight for recognition where there is none. You guys arrogate yourselves to the status of Hollywood stars and cloud yourselves in Kumasi as kings and queens.
2. Some of you producers were envious of each other.
While Some of you use sex to give movie roles, others were playing political cards, if you are NDC you won't get roles no matter how good you are.
3. Most of your contents are just too local and does not make sense or developmental impact on society than just entertainment.
A movie entertain and educate but what do we see?
How can a person be stabbed, shot or beaten to the point of death and all your movie characters show is to wail, cry and around worth and back calling for help or carrying the victim in the hands or taxi instead of educating people on proactive measures to take by calling police or ambulance and rushing the victim to the hospital.
Showing imaginary things we want to see in our country but not the same old things we know and have been doing, why won't the industry die?
Come back with standard and educative movie and see if people will not patronize, village people and their village industry.
