Celestine Donkor has urged husbands to prioritise love and care over sexual entitlement in marriage
Gospel musician Celestine Donkor has advised married men not to assume that marriage gives them unrestricted access to sex whenever they desire.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the gospel singer explained that women need love, care, and attention from their husbands, rather than the assumption that marriage alone guarantees sexual intimacy.
“Dear husband, the fact that you’ve married a woman into your matrimonial home doesn’t mean that whenever you want sex anyhow, anytime, you will automatically get it regardless of how you treat the woman. A woman needs a lot of love, care, and attention to get her tissue wet. Sweet-talk your own wife. Show her love. Show her care,” she said.
Celestine Donkor further encouraged husbands to maintain regular communication with their wives, even while at work, stating that small gestures of affection can strengthen a marriage.
“Don’t leave the house from morning till evening without calling your wife to check on her. Tell her you can’t wait to see her again. Put some words in her face,” she said.
She added that marriage requires patience, love, and consistent care, comparing a wife to a delicate flower that deserves to be cherished.

“That is why, when you are going to marry, they say you are going to your wife’s family to pluck a rose and treat that woman with love, patience, and a lot of attention,” she noted.
The gospel musician also clarified that when women ask for attention, they are not demanding that their husbands stay home instead of working.
Rather, they want to feel valued and emotionally connected even when their spouses are away.
“When we say attention, we are not saying you should stay home and not work. We are saying that even when you are away from home, let your presence be felt by your wife,” she noted.
She concluded by warning that men should not become complacent simply because they believe their wives are religious or committed to the marriage.
“If you don’t, and you think that because you are married to a perfect Christian woman, she will never cheat on you, you are lying, she will cheat on you,” she added.
