Health concerns have compelled Kwesi Arthur to postpone North American tour
Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has announced the postponement of the North American leg of his 'Redemption Valley' tour after doctors advised that continuing with the scheduled performances could be detrimental to his health.
In a statement shared on July 16, 2026, the rapper disclosed that he has been battling a health issue for some time.
Although he had hoped to continue with the tour, he said medical advice made it clear that doing so would be risky, leaving him with no choice but to prioritise his recovery.
Kwesi Arthur expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support fans have shown throughout the Redemption Valley era, describing the decision to postpone the shows as one of the most difficult he has had to make.
“You’ve made Redemption Valley one for the books, and this year has meant more to me than words can say. That’s why this is so hard to write. For a while now, I’ve been dealing with a health issue, and despite my best efforts, my doctors have told me that moving forward with the tour right now would be reckless and dangerous to my health,” he said.

The postponement affects his scheduled performances in Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
However, the rapper assured fans that his London concert will go ahead as planned, saying he is looking forward to performing there.
Kwesi Arthur said the decision was necessary to ensure he returns to the stage in good health and is able to give fans the performance they deserve.
“I have to postpone the North American dates: Boston, NYC, DC, and Atlanta. London is still on as scheduled, and I can’t wait to see you there. This wasn’t easy, but I owe it to you, and to myself, to come back and give you the show you deserve at full strength,” Kwesi stated.
The rapper also sought to reassure fans who had already purchased tickets for the affected shows, explaining that replacement dates are currently being arranged.
He added that all existing tickets will remain valid once the new schedule is announced, while fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates will be provided with refund information.
Kwesi Arthur concluded his message by thanking his supporters for their patience, understanding and unwavering support during what he described as a challenging period.
“New North American dates are already in the works, and existing tickets will stay valid once they’re announced. Refund details will follow soon for anyone who needs them. Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me through this. I’ll see you soon,” he added.
