Gospel musician Nacee has taken to social media to sound the alarm about the damage careless social comparisons and unnecessary questions can inflict on people.

In a post on his Facebook handle, the award-winning musician shared a heartbreaking direct message from a follower who said she was considering ending her life after years of mockery over not having a child.

"I've been married for 8 years without a child. I'm mocked, even in church. People spread lies that I had abortions. I've reached a point where I'm thinking about ending my life," the message read.

Nacee said the message left him wondering how many others were quietly carrying the same pain caused by the words of people around them.

"A simple question can destroy someone's confidence and get them into jeopardy forever; 'When will you get married? Do you know you are growing old? Look at your friends and look at you?' These comparisons push people into things you can't imagine," Nacee wrote.

He urged his followers to be kinder in their utterances. Stating that not everything is for 'public discussion.'

"Not every unanswered prayer is a story for public discussion. Not every delay deserves judgment. May we learn to speak less about people, pray more, and trust God's timing," he said.
