‘I am ready to deal with all of you’ – Lil Win blasts Black Stars over World Cup exit

Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, humorously took a swipe at the Black Stars following Lionel Messi’s emotional sobbing after Argentina’s 2026 FIFA World Cup loss to Spain.

In a video shared on his TikTok page, the actor jokingly expressed disappointment at the team’s reaction after their elimination, claiming the players failed to show enough emotions despite Ghanaians spending money and travelling to support them.

Comparing the Black Stars to football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Lil Win argued that the top players openly showed their pain after their major defeats, insisting the Ghanaian players did not do the same.

“Honestly, Black Stars, we are still angry with you. Spain and Argentina played, and Argentina came in second place, and Messi, who is one of the best footballers in the world, was crying after losing. Then you Black Stars, when you were knocked out, you couldn’t cry. You couldn’t do anything for Ghanaians to sympathise with you,” he said

The actor also poked fun at some players for appearing to quickly move on from the tournament, mentioning that some were seen partying while others were enjoying leisure activities shortly after returning home.

“After you got to Ghana, some of you were having fun. Alidu Seidu is on horseback. Some of you are partying in Dubai; others are playing backyard football. You are making fun of Ghanaians, right?” He asked

Lil Win further stated that he had travelled to the United States to support the Black Stars during the tournament, jokingly warning the team to prepare for him because he is unhappy with how they handled the disappointment.

“I left Ghana and went to America and spent all that money to watch the games, and you couldn’t even cry when we were knocked out. Now you’re back in Ghana having fun. Wait for me. I am ready to deal with all of you.”

Although his remarks were delivered in a humorous tone, the video has sparked reactions on social media, with many fans joining in the banter while others debated whether the players’ emotional responses should matter after such a disappointing campaign.
