Asantewaa’s brother, Kayverli, has spoken on their deteriorating relationship, alleging years of emotional pain and toxic behavior.

Speaking during a recent TikTok Live, Kayverli dismissed claims that he had wronged his sister, insisting that he had always been the one forgiving her despite the hurt she allegedly caused him.

"I've never offended her; I'm the one who always forgives her whenever she wrongs me because she's my sister. She doesn’t know how to talk to people and everyone around me knows that,” he said.

He continued, “I unfriended her from all social media platforms because I’ve endured a lot of things from her for a long time and I’m fed up now. There were so many instances when my sister would do something that hurt me deeply, and I would have to ask if she was really my sister. She’s very toxic.”

According to him, one of the incidents that deeply affected him occurred when he was hospitalised after suffering a health crisis.

Kayverli claimed that after informing Asantewaa that he was unwell and asking her to pick him up since she had a car, she declined his request.

"I wasn't feeling well; I had a crisis and I called to inform her that I wasn't well. Since she has a car, she should come and pick me up to get drugs at the pharmacy or take me to the hospital. She told me that she can't come," he alleged.

He explained that he later relied on a neighbour to book a ride to Asantewaa's house, where she later bought medication for him before leaving for a work engagement.

"I then called my neighbor; he booked a ride for me and I went to my sister’s place. I was in so much pain and she knew everything that was going on. She later went to the pharmacy to get drugs for me and after, she said she had a shoot, so she left me in her house. It later got worse and I was rushed to the hospital," he recounted.

Kayverli further alleged that when Asantewaa arrived at the hospital, she questioned why his friends had gathered around him.

"When she got to the hospital, she saw my friends around me. She asked them if they had nothing better to do than be at the hospital with me. For her, she doesn't have that time and even her kids, she doesn't have enough time for them to be with me there," he claimed.

He also accused his sister of making hurtful remarks while paying for his medical tests.

"The doctor asked me to do some lab tests. When she went to the cashier to pay for the lab, she said the money she was about to pay, if she had given it to a beggar outside, it would have been better. Everyone around her asked her why she would say something like that since I'm her brother," he alleged.

Kayverli also addressed reports that he had prevented Asantewaa from visiting him while he was admitted, explaining that he instructed nurses not to allow her into his ward because of their strained relationship.

He further alleged that Asantewaa made a shocking comment suggesting she initially thought she had been called to pay for his mortuary expenses.

"At first, I could have taken a bullet for my sister. When I hear that she's not well or she's going through something and I'm not close to her, I feel restless. But my sister said at the hospital that when she was called, she thought she was coming to pay for my mortuary fee. I was just wondering if my own blood sister wanted me dead," he added.
