'Working with Shatta Wale requires discipline' – DJ Vyrusky

Award-winning Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Vyrusky has shared his thoughts on why many people who work with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale eventually part ways with him.

He insisted that the musician's strict approach to work is often misunderstood.

According to him, there is nothing unusual about people leaving Shatta Wale's camp, as changing workplaces is a normal part of professional life.

Speaking in an interview shared on social media on July 22, 2026, DJ Vyrusky described Shatta Wale as a disciplined and principled individual who expects everyone around him to meet the same standards.

"I always tell people that Shatta Wale is a no-nonsense guy. People come and work with Shatta and they leave. It's normal, but I don't know why people make it a big deal because you, the one complaining, used to work at Company A and now you're in Company B, but you have a problem with the fact that someone works with Shatta and they stopped working," he said.

He explained that Shatta Wale prefers things to be done according to his vision, leaving little room for compromise when it comes to executing tasks.

"Shatta wants things to be done his way. Sometimes, you think you want to do your things in a way, but no, he would want to do it how he wants it," DJ Vyrusky stated.

The disc jockey further praised the award-winning musician's work ethic, describing him as highly organised and disciplined, qualities he believes contribute to Shatta Wale's remarkable productivity.

"Everything about him is discipline and principles. When it comes to work, he's so organised and very disciplined. How does he come up with six songs a day?" he added.
