'Daddy Lumba never came to my house' - Ajagurajah angrily responds to sister

Spiritual leader Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has responded angrily to claims by the sister of late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, insisting the musician never visited his residence before his death.

Speaking in a video shared on social media, Ajagurajah accused Daddy Lumba’s sister, Akosua Brempomaa, of making false claims and questioned why his name was being dragged into the family’s issues.

He dismissed allegations that the late musician left his house shortly before his passing, insisting he had never seen Daddy Lumba’s driver and that the account given by the deceased’s sister was untrue.

“Lumba has never been to my house. You’re saying he left my house, but that’s a lie. The day I took Lumba to Tema, there was no driver. It was only Lumba, his young son, Owusu the bodyguard, and me. I have never seen Lumba’s driver,” he said.

Ajagurajah also rejected claims that Daddy Lumba died four days after leaving his residence, describing the assertion as false.

Addressing comments that the family was still searching for the musician’s body, he maintained that he had no knowledge of the matter and urged them to seek answers from the appropriate authorities.

“You said you’re looking for your brother’s body. It is not with me. Go to the Police or the court and find out where he was buried. I know nothing about it. I don’t even watch dead bodies,” he stated.

The spiritual leader further questioned why the late musician’s death continued to generate controversy, stating that some people are using the situation for their own interests.

He also dismissed social media rumours alleging that he and Daddy Lumba’s partner, “Odo Broni” pushed Daddy Lumba from a storey building because he wanted to marry her, describing the allegation as baseless.

According to Ajagurajah, he has not visited Daddy Lumba’s home since the musician’s passing and sees no reason why his name should repeatedly be linked to the family’s affairs.

Ajagurajah made the remarks in response to Daddy Lumba’s sister, Ernestina Fosu, who claimed that her brother called her on July 24, 2025, two days before his death, while he was returning from Ajagurajah’s residence.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra after a short illness, according to a statement released by his family.

Following his death, several disagreements have emerged among members of the family over issues surrounding his burial, widowhood rites, and the administration of his estate.

The legendary musician was laid to rest in December 2025.

Almost a year after his passing, Akosua Brempomaa, who has previously raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding her brother’s death and alleged foul play, has maintained that she does not know the exact location where he was buried.
