What DJ KA said about his leaked intimate video

Ghanaian journalist and disc jockey Rexford Adu Ntim, popularly known as DJ KA, has spoken publicly for the first time following the circulation of alleged intimate videos of him on social media.

According to DJ KA, some people have allegedly threatened to continue circulating the videos until he takes his own life. However, he stressed that he has no intention of harming himself.

He acknowledged that the videos, which he said were recorded four years ago, were a mistake and apologized to those who genuinely care about him.

The popular DJ also disclosed that the controversy has cost him several ambassadorial deals, adding that the experience has been emotionally draining.

Speaking in a live-streamed video on July 26, 2026, DJ KA said, "I always say that whoever is insulting me over this issue has the right to express their opinion. This happened four years ago, and I have seen people saying they will make sure I take my own life, but I will never do that because of this.

"Even though this happened four years ago, I want to apologize to the people who genuinely love and support me. I have lost most of my ambassadorial deals, and this has really drained me, but God has sustained me."

Meanwhile, DJ KA has been suspended by Kessben Media, where he works.

In a statement issued on July 24, 2026, and shared on social media, the media organization condemned the circulation of the alleged videos and distanced its brand, management, and staff from the incident.

According to Kessben Media, DJ KA has been directed to stay off duty while the matter is investigated.

The company also stated that it would provide him with the necessary support to help him cope with the trauma arising from the incident.

"The public is assured of the company's resolve to restore the confidence and trust reposed in Kessben Media and that it will not shield any person found to be complicit in this situation.

"In the interim, the staff member involved has been asked to stay off duty and submit to the inquest. He will also be assisted to receive the necessary support to overcome the ensuing trauma. The support will include counselling, rehabilitation, and legal assistance where necessary," the statement said.

The media organization further disclosed that it had launched a full internal investigation into the matter, noting that the outcome would determine its next course of action.

"Kessben Media, as a first step toward ensuring full disclosure of this unfortunate incident, has instituted an internal inquest to better understand the entire matter. The outcome of the inquest will inform the next steps to be taken.

"The public is assured of the company's resolve to restore the confidence and trust reposed in Kessben Media and will not shield any person found to be complicit in this situation."

Kessben Media also appealed to the public to refrain from sharing the alleged intimate videos and urged people to avoid associating the company's brand with the incident.

"In view of the sensitive nature of the material currently in circulation, the cybersecurity implications involved, and the existing laws governing the possession and distribution of such content, the public is respectfully entreated to desist from sharing or distributing the videos.

"We further humbly request that the media fraternity bear with us and refrain from discussions that associate the Kessben Media brand with the incident, taking into consideration the purported time the incident occurred," the statement added.
