The shocking behaviour of Daddy Lumba's family members is nothing new. We are simply witnessing unrestrained raw human nature at its worst. If Daddy Lumba had passed away as a poor and obscure individual his family would in all likely have forgotten about him by now. Sadly, another prominent Ghanaian family has just recently decided to embark on the same self-destructive and self-defeating path.
Are there any peace makers left in these families? The more sensible family members have declined to join the fray and are rather focusing their time and energies on things that count in their lives. Daddy Lumba’s sudden demise is a timely reminder to all of us how uncertain this life on earth is. We may think we are in control, but we really are not. THE WISE AMONGST US WILL REFUSE TO LET THEIR LIVES BE POISONED BY HOLDING ON TIGHT TO VERY NEGATIVE AND SELF-DESTRUCTIVE EMOTIONS SUCH AS UNFORGIVINGNESS, ANGER, HATRED, BITTERNESS AND HOSTILITY TOWARDS OTHERS.

WHEN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES REPEATEDLY ADVICE AS TO LET GO OF THESE DANGEROUS EMOTIONS IT IS NOT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TARGET OF OUR ANGER AND FRUSTRATION BUT RATHER FOR OUR OWN SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL AND EVEN PHYSICAL WELLBEING.

Drama here, drama there, drama everywhere. Pathetic to see grown men and women acting so erratically when a loved one dies. If ghosts truly exist? Is this woman talking to the dead? Lumba had every opportunity to get his affairs together while he was still living but failed to do so. No imaginary ghosts can step in to settle the issues dividing Lumba's widows and other family members; it's now the courts in Ghana that have the task of mediating this unfortunate drama.
