Asantewaa threatens legal action over infidelity claims

Ghanaian TikTok content creator and entrepreneur Asantewaa has broken her silence after receiving a series of abusive direct messages from an anonymous individual who accused her of infidelity.

In a video circulating on social media, the content creator expressed outrage over what she described as false and damaging allegations, warning that she is prepared to pursue legal action against anyone who has made defamatory claims about her without evidence.

According to Asantewaa, the individual alleged that someone had spent money to marry her, yet she had been deceived by another man (Armani), into having his kids.

Reacting to the claims, she challenged the sender to produce evidence to substantiate the allegations.

“You will have to show your evidence that someone spent money to marry me and I allowed another person to deceive me into giving birth for him. For that part alone, you have to come and prove it,” she said.

The entrepreneur stressed that Ghana is governed by laws that protect citizens from harassment, bullying, defamation and other forms of abuse. She warned that she would not hesitate to use the legal system to defend her reputation.

“You think we are living in a lawless country? We are living in a country where if someone is harassing you, bullying you, insulting you or assaulting you unprovoked, there are laws that can fight for you. If you didn’t know, I will teach you a lesson with the laws of this country,” she stated.

Asantewaa further revealed that rather than engaging in online arguments, she prefers to assess the damages caused by such allegations before taking legal action.

“I will not sit and tolerate your stupidity. When things like this happen, I stay in my corner calculating the amount of damages I can sue for because you will have to come to court and prove every statement you published,” she added.

She concluded by warning that although she may never publicly mention the individual’s name, they could receive a formal summons from her lawyers requiring them to appear in court to defend the allegations they allegedly made against her.

The video has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many users sharing differing opinions on her decision to pursue legal action against online abuse and defamatory claims.
