Sport beting is not the way to financial fortune — Bishop Oyedepo tells youth

Nigerian preacher, Bishop David Oyedepo, has advised the youth to avoid depending on sports betting as a pathway to wealth, urging them to pursue success through patience and hard work.

Addressing his congregation, Oyedepo warned that betting can distract young people from their purpose and limit their potential.

He stressed that genuine and lasting prosperity is achieved through diligence, not gambling.

“Young people, naija bet is not the way to financial fortune. Stop wasting your destiny, stop wasting your time. I have never been once deceived. Stop!” he said.

The preacher admitted that success does not always come at the pace people expect but insisted that those who remain focused and committed will eventually reap the rewards of their efforts.

“Things may be slow, but it is sure,” he added.

Bishop Oyedepo also shared a personal testimony, recounting how he expressed gratitude to the woman who introduced him to Christianity by presenting her with a car years later.

“My mother of faith led me to Christ at 15. When I turned 60, I got her a car that they took to her place in the U.S, she wept. You had better wake up,” he stated.
