I hope one day they unite - Robert Klah on Shatta-Stonebwoy beef

Charterhouse Public Relations Officer and entertainment executive Robert Klah has expressed hope that Ghanaian dancehall stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will one day put aside their long-running differences for the good of the music industry.

Speaking on Hitz FM, Robert Klah said he believes the two artistes, who both profess Christianity, should eventually allow their faith to guide them towards reconciliation.

"These two individuals profess God. So whatever is going on, at some point in their career... I am hoping that one day the God they profess shall manifest so that we can see that that element of God is love," he said.

Drawing comparisons with Jamaican dancehall icons Vybz Kartel and Mavado, as well as Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, who have made efforts to reconcile after years of rivalry, Klah said he hopes a similar moment will happen between the Ghanaian musicians.

He added that beyond promoting unity, a reunion between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy could have financial benefits for both themselves and the music industry.

"Even if you look at the possible financial benefits if these two work together at some point in terms of concerts and sales, you can imagine the numbers they are going to draw," he noted.

According to him, a collaboration between the two award-winning artistes would create memorable moments for Ghana's entertainment industry.

The rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has spanned several years, producing a series of public exchanges despite occasional calls from industry stakeholders for the pair to reconcile.

Recently, their feud rekindled after Shatta Wale spoke about Stonebwoy being his 'boy' in an interview in Nigeria.

Stonebwoy responded with a series of posts on social media. Adding another chapter to a never-ending beef.
