AN EQUAL "50% SHARE" BY BOTH MARRIAGE PARTNER DOES NOT WORK VERY WELL. JUST ASK ANYBODY WHO HAS BEEN MARRIED FOR 20,30 OR 40 YEARS+. The very fact that a husband and wife have different personalities, come from different backgrounds, were natured in different homes means that inevitably each will have a different understanding of what their “50% share” and their spouse’s “50% share” of marriage means. For example, the husband may sincerely believe that he is carrying 50% of the load in the marriage only to discover that his wife thinks he is only contributing 20% or 30%! IF THIS FUNDAMENTAL FACT IS IGNORED IT CAN LEAD TO FRICTION, A BUILD-UP OF RESENTMENT LEADING TO FIGHTS, HOSTILITY AND SADLY IN MANY CASES THE EVENTUAL COLLAPSE OF THE MARRIAGE.
This explains why the best marriage are between two “GIVERS”. If a “giver” contributes 70% of the effort in the marriage and their spouse also contributes about the same this will cancel out any differences. Also, if a marriage is growing and maturing in a healthy way then there will be a natural tendency to appreciate one’s spouse more.
IF YOU KEEP INSISTING THAT YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING 50% TO THE MARRIAGE WHEN YOUR SPOUSE ONLY PERCEIVES YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO BE ONLY 30% THEN YOU ARE HEADED FOR TROUBLE. AND LET’S BE VERY CLEAR HERE, WE ARE NOT TALKING MERELY ABOUT FAMILY INCOME) SO, LET’S WISE UP.

I would not have responded to disagree with you because wherever and whoever you are it's your opinion and I respect it.

I am also married for 34 years my wife myself my kids agreed we must not come to yhe table with empty hands and that marriage should not be viewed as a profit making venture but shared responsibility and pleased on the fact that the world is unpredictable!!but life must go on whichever way and whatever happens!!
