Ahead of gospel musician MOG Music’s headline concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, he has disclosed that he had to sell his wife’s car and his own car to fund the concert.

The gospel musician told media personality KMJ that he made the decision as an act of sacrifice because he understood the mandate and had to take a step of faith.

“Not just my wife’s car, I sold my car as well. I sold my car, I sold my wife’s car. People were saying that, ‘If you are not ready, don’t do the show.’ I’m like, ‘You know, that is so not it.’ We did that from a place of sacrifice, because we understood what we did, and we understood the mandate and based on that, we took that step of faith,” he said.

MOG Music argued that there have been clear examples in the Bible where men sacrificed for God and the Lord did not disappoint them.

According to him, because there have been such examples, if God gives him a mandate and it gets to a point where he has the inclination to sell his car, he would do so.

“The reason why we’re able to do that is because there has been an example in the Bible that clearly shows us that men have done it and God did not disappoint them. An example is Isaac. So, there must be that example to show you. And God has given us those examples in the Bible.

“We have fathers of faith who sold houses, who sold cars, who sold businesses to finance ministries. And today, the story is different. So, we have seen examples. So, when God gives us a mandate and it gets to a place where I have the inclination that, ‘Sell this car,’ and I tell my wife and she agrees, both of us will sell it and do it,” he noted.

The gospel musician further noted that his wife did not challenge his decision when he told her about selling her car to fund his OVO Arena Wembley concert.

“My wife didn’t challenge my decision. And it’s a car I bought for her when she gave birth to our last born. It’s a very beautiful car,” he added.

Gospel musician MOG Music is set to headline the iconic OVO Arena Wembley, a venue with a seating capacity of approximately 12,500 people.

The anticipated concert is scheduled to take place on August 22, 2026, in London, and is expected to draw gospel music lovers, members of the Ghanaian diaspora and international audiences from across Europe and beyond.

The event is expected to feature a night of intense worship, live performances and a celebration of faith, culture and music.
