Prophet Patrick Amoako is a preacher and entrepreneur
Prophet Patrick Amoako has advised people against rushing into marriage because of societal pressure or the belief that marriage will help them overcome certain personal struggles.
According to him, marriage should be entered into because a person is genuinely ready for the commitment and responsibilities that come with it, rather than as an escape from a particular problem.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime on August 25, 2026, Prophet Patrick Amoako cautioned men who believe getting married will automatically put an end to womanising.
“You don’t have to marry because you feel pressured. Marriage is not an antidote for womanising. That’s why some married men are more corrupt with women than the singles,” he said.
The prophet explained that marriage should not be used as a solution to flee from temptation or other personal challenges.
“You don’t marry because you want to flee away from something. You marry because it’s right,” he stated.

He also addressed the issue of financial readiness, stressing that being financially stable does not necessarily mean having an abundance of money.
According to him, prospective husbands should first assess whether they are capable of taking care of themselves and another person before deciding to marry.
“Being right doesn’t mean you need some abundance of money, but you have to ask yourself if you have enough to cater for yourself and someone,” he explained.
Prophet Amoako further defined financial stability from the perspective of a man's ability to meet his basic responsibilities within a marriage.
“My definition of financial stability is that whatever the man is bringing at the end of the day should be able to cater for himself and whoever he is bringing in,” he shared.
He therefore urged individuals who are struggling financially to carefully consider whether they are ready to take on the responsibility of marriage.
“If you’re struggling as a person, how do you expect to take care of the next person?” he asked.
