Ghanaian actor Oboy Siki has openly stated that he does not like anything actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown does, explaining why he will not attend her upcoming movie premiere in Kumasi.

Speaking in a recent interview on Aluta FM, Oboy Siki admitted that his support for McBrown is influenced solely by his close relationship with comedian Dr Likee.

“I’m supporting McBrown because of Dr Likee, but I can’t attend her movie premiere. I wouldn’t support McBrown if not for Dr Likee. Why should I support her? I don’t like anything she does,” he said.

The actor stressed that people have different preferences and that he does not believe he should like someone simply because the majority of people admire them.

“People will not understand me until I’m dead and gone. Not everyone likes her. Some people like her and what she does while some don’t,” he stated.

Oboy Siki further explained that he prefers to make his own decisions rather than follow public opinion.

“I don’t follow what people do. I’m not supposed to like someone because everyone does. If I know you like something, I will never like the same thing. It doesn’t mean I have an issue with you,” he shared.

He clarified that he would only attend McBrown’s premiere if she personally invites him and he feels comfortable doing so.

“If she had invited me to the premiere and I feel like I’m okay, I would go. I’m a special person so why will I attend without an invitation?” he questioned.

Oboy Siki mentioned that he would not want to attend an event with members of his team only to be denied entry.

“If my team and I go and they sack us, what then will I be doing?” he asked.

He further spoke about his relationship with Dr Likee, revealing that the comedian had invited him to his planned London show and informed him about it well in advance.

However, Oboy Siki said he eventually declined the invitation because he does not travel outside Ghana.

“When Dr Likee wanted to organise his London show, he informed me last year. He asked me to get ready since we would be going together. I told him I had to decline the invitation because I don’t travel abroad,” he recounted.
